FarPoint to Visit User Groups in Fall “Tour”

FarPoint supports major .NET user groups in southern United States with visits to each.

MORRISVILLE, NC — September 21, 2007 – FarPoint Technologies has announced a “Southern Fried Fall Tour,” which will consist of them meeting with major .NET user groups throughout the southern United States during mid October. With face to face meetings, FarPoint employees will spend time with the developer community on their home turf and experience the culture of the deep South. Each user group on the tour will receive two licenses of their choice of either FarPoint Spread for Windows Forms or FarPoint Spread for ASP.NET. The tour will provide an opportunity to get input from users on the challenges they face and provide an opportunity for FarPoint to educate the .NET community on the ways that spreadsheet technology offers a much more feature-rich alternative to the typical grids that developers use. The participants will be privy to real applications created by spreadsheets as well as code samples explaining how they were created.

 The Tour will be making its first stop in Huntsville, Alabama on October 15^th, at the Huntsville New Technology Users Group.  From there, they will be traveling to Birmingham on October 16^th, for a combined meeting of the Birmingham Software Developers Association and the Birmingham .NET Users Group.  On Wednesday, October 17^th, it is on to Montgomery, Alabama to meet with the Montgomery Area .NET Developer Group.   On October 18^th, they will be in Mobile, Alabama at the Lower Alabama .NET Users Group.  The Southern Fried Fall Tour will then wrap up on October 19^th in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for a combined meeting of the Greater New Orleans .NET Users Group and the Baton Rouge .NET Users Group.
